(1-25 of 109)- Cost analysis & path charting.
- Risk analysis & management.
- Data visualization along with decisions & planning.
- Product is sophisticated and requires trainings.
- Noticeable lags between acquired & live data.
- If we remove the limitations on the number of cells data, we get performance issues.
It might not be suitable for businesses that aren't keen on investing such a large amount for their Analytics needs as there are multiple vendors available that do it for a much lesser price, such as Zoho.

Fantastic easy to use and implement cloud analytics platform.
- It makes it easier yo analyse order and related records easily.
- We can easily maintain and track the performance of employees in organisation.
- Can easily track various aspects for the growth of an organisation thus allowing real time analysis and tracking of organisation's growth and performance.
- User Interface of SAP cloud analytics can be improved more so that it can be made more accessible.
- User support is not that much good and time consuming.
- Limited team work and collaboration possible as their are not much collaborative features available, it makes it sometime time consuming.
Use it anywhere CRM analytics!
- Data security
- Access control
- Access from anywhere
- The mobile app could be faster & lighter. Currently it hangs often while loading dashboards.
- It takes some time to get accustomed to a new peson. The training modules are not very informative.
- Difficult to integrate with existing legacy systems.
It is less appropriate for custom querying and aggregation.
SAC - Driving 360 degree Analytical need of Industry
Recently I have done POC on HR data for them to identity probable employees who could leave organization. The POC went well so we are asked to implement the same. I used built classification-in for addressing Attrition problem which resulted in 83% accuracy. Client has asked us to do a POC using regression if we can predict number of copies to be printed considering various factors like historical data (sports event/elections/or other catastrophic events).
Suggestion:
However I feel SAC can be more effective if more modelling capabilities are provided. Integration with R is good but SAP should think of Python integration as well, reason being Python is more user friendly and capable of doing all what R does.
- Natural language processing.
- Geo-spatial enrichment.
- Support to mobile/tabs.
- Easy user interface.
- Prediction capabilities.
- R integration.
- Application building.
- Dashboarding.
- Complete descriptive statistics about business using stories.
- Modelling capabilities.
- Python integration should be included.
- Model rebuilding losses all data validations/transformation and too much of rework.
SAC is very well suited for planning budget & forecast scenarios for companies' financial needs. SAC is the only tool having all three different type of Analytics i.e. Descriptive, Predictive & Prescriptive analysis. SAC has an inbuilt R Server and also supports R integration with external server for more of predictive analysis and superb visuals. The same story can be seen in desktop, laptop including mobiles & tab so no extra work for getting reports on mobile except for API integration. SAC supports importing data from non-SAP environments and provides seamless live connectivity to SAP HANA cloud systems.
SAC will not be that useful where more of operation reporting is required though it is capable of providing Excel-like interface with similar functionalities.

SAP Analytics Cloud review
- Nice presentations, Dashboards
- Live Data Models
- Merge multiple models
- Live connections to other sources then SAP
- When adding a new measure in CDS consumption view the SAP Analytics Cloud model gets disrupted. So you can only add a measure at the end
- Connections to SQL, MySQL live
Predictive Analytics made simpler
- Intuitive Charts, graphs and tables preparation
- Live models creation with help of modeler
- Data presentation becomes impressive and insightful
- Models take a lot of time to load
- If you forget to add a measure or dimension while creatin a model, you have to start all over

SAC review
- Dashboard
- Visualization
- Connecting data to S4.
- Performance optimization of live data connection.
- Live connectivity to SAB BW
- Using all BW features out of the box (hierarchies, objects attributes...)
- Ability to widely share dashboards due to data access control coming from the source (BW)
- Available visualizations (very limited since the start)
- Mobile application, allowing side by side widgets
- Not providing anymore concurrent session license model
Particularly for Finance, sales and marketing, all types of corporate reporting.
It is not appropriate if external data sets need to be linked to data exposed from BW.

SAP Analytics Cloud Review
- Dashboards
- Report Creation
- Planning
- Key Driver Planning
- SAP Analytics Cloud can be daunting for new users, plus the unfamiliar user interface behind the designer panel can be daunting for new users or users who've predominantly only used one system previously.
- The timing of how long it can take to pull reports from large data bases.
- There is currently no line item commenting that can be done to specific measures that will remain in place. Such as Budget line item planning in BPC AO
It is also very expensive, twice as much a Microsoft's visualization products. So comparing the two just for visualization, Microsoft wins hands down for cost and intuitive use. That is not a winning combination. We had to back away from the product because of thee challenges that SAP was not in a position to help us will.
- Connection to SAP, therefore a much more secure and SOX compliant tool
- Master data is aligned and less data cleansing is required.
- Hierarchies come from the HANA system and are intuitive and prebuilt
- Too expensive. Twice the cost of Microsoft
- Not able to one click into a report. Requires too much set up and replacement when updated.
- A more intuitive interface, there were a lot of gotchas when building a model from scratch.
Hierarchies required - excellent
Detailed modeling - hard to do
Inputting new data - hard to do.
